Hello. This week we have been doing change. We need changes don't we? Here is my story about schools changing but then something goes wrong. Sorry if the story was short! In the comments, tell me what to improve because that could REALLY help!

A bird in the inlet while raining (Pahurehure inlet)

At the Pahurehure inlet, a bird silently stands like a statue. The bird wasn't fussed about the rain. 

It's feet was in the water, it's head twitching up and down the feather moving every time and it doesn't look back.

It doesn't pick at anything, it was deeply looking around for a second or two or more. 

I could not tell what kind of bird it was. It was black all over and had skinny legs, it wasn't a tui. It was probably looking for some food. Y'know, birds are always hungry for bread or worms or... other things. It might rush to the food if we/other people threw it. It would be like "Gimme!! Gimme! GIMME!!!" probably. The bird made no sound at all. You could only hear the rain hardly go down. 

But i'm going to be honest the water looked satisfying.

In my opinion. :)

Should Matariki be a public holiday?

Should we have homework?

No, schools should not have homework. It’s because home is free time, it’s where kids have the
rest of the day with free time, not continue doing work. Homework is banned from home, we should
only do work at school (period).

If a bad kid won’t do his\her work at school then they can do homework at home (it has it in the name).

That's the only time you should do homework (it is also known as “schoolwork”). 

Homework is the only way for naughty kids (not like me) to pay attention to parents and teachers.

Mostly in my school, I (we) don’t do homework anymore (we used to).

I only do maths as my homework, and then I have free time. Nothing really long to do. The maths is
pretty easy!

Eg: 2x10=20, 5÷5=1, and 2 ÷24=12. 

Mostly, kids will start moaning about homework and they keep saying they just wanna do free time.
Sometimes kids really do homework but their parents say no, or maybe yes?

CHORES.

Chores are different from homework. Chores is where you need to do the dishes,
you need to put the washing away and tidying your room. It gets worse.

What you get growing up

Things can change when you grow up like things changed for me when I growed up, (girls get badder things than boys).
 Girls get:
Girls start losing friends like boys, girls get periods around 9 or 7, it’s where blood comes out of you but it’s not painful. It stops at the age 50 and periods go on every month, some months skip your period.
 Girls start getting bossy (Adtitude) at parents and start getting no more rewards. They would soon see (Cute) boys and suddenly fall in love with him (or them). If you are a girl and you love so many boys, you are (what I call it) “Psycho lover”. It’s where you will keep on breaking up with boys and falling in love with different ones until your parents tell your band from getting more. You will start to change soon.
 Boys get:
 Boys get the same thing as girls but not periods. Instead, they have a lot of pimples. Boys can get slightly the same things as girls but mostly there the bullies. There are the ones that girls fall in love with. They love parkour, stunts, climbing even in school. Boys will get less or more rewards than girls (you are happy now!).
 Now let's talk about what you get in school. HARD(ER) MATHS!! Some of you might hate or love maths so much but (too bad!), it’s gotten harder like square roots. You can get more in trouble too! You can get jobs and guess what? MORE TRIPS! (and camp).
 You will see when you grow up!

What is the main Idea

I think the main Idea is that they are trying to tell us to get healthy and strong so  we don’t need to worry about eating and I think they are trying to make us exercise and that they are trying to make us not sit down ( sometimes ). Also that they are telling us to go to sleep early and wake up early in the morning. There are people who research what impact sitting does to our human body and what standing does to our human body and people who sit and people who stand are more likely to get a disease by 1.5 then people who stand. They are also telling us not to eat too much salt or sugar because you can get sick and your health can get low and that they are telling us that if you eat iron ( not the metal ) you can might not absorb it and you might be tired and sick and pale but vitamin c can help you absorb it.  It also talks about tuberculosis and other diseases that 1 third of the soldier’s died in in world war 1.



Today Me, Tiana and Kellan did this piece of writing called "What is the main Idea" It was one of the tasks on Rimu Reading. It's all about healthy stuff like not eating sugar, salt or junk food. Enjoy reading!

The Water Project Summer learning Journey

The Water Project is trying to protect the Planet from the dirty water in this country and different country's.
The Water Project is trying to get kids to drink water to get energy.
 Giving the water waste get's up to no good!
 Water helps people get cooler from underground or anywhere.
 If we don't have any water, what are we gonna drink?
 If we don't drink, we wont't get energy or get healthy.
